Shishapangma Expedition

Shishapangma lies in Tibet near the high peaks of Langtang in Nepalese border. Chinese authority opened this peak for the western mountaineers in 1978. Shishapangma is the last of 8000m to be climbed. Now the peak is considered one of the most straightforward 8000m. climbs via the North-West Ridge and the success of summiting the peak is quite high.

The base camp is situated at 5000m. which offers the spectacular views of the mountain and the ridge. ABC is located at the glacier on the west side of the morarines at 5400m. After crossing snow pinnacles & headwall, Camp 1 is fixed at 6400m. on a broad plateau. After climbing snow slopes and the headwall to the Col., camp 2 is established at 7000m on a massive plateau.. Climbing a few streaches of steep and mostly easy snow leads to shoulder at 7400m. where Camp 3 can be established at rock-crowned flat buttress. Ascending fairly steep snow slopes and rock ridge to the solid snow reaches to the summit which offers the enchanting view of Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and more.
