Manaslu Trekking
Manaslu Trekking is one of the remote and high passes trekkings in Nepal. The trek offers insight of primitive Tibetan influenced culture and tradition as well as sensational mountain views and spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and China. The trek begins in the ancient town of Gorkha and follows the Buri Gandaki River through rough gorges slicing between Himchuli (7890m) and Ganesh (7429m) northwards and passes beautiful alpine medows and small typical Tibetan villages Jagat, Gap Pu and Sho, with rows of the prayer wheels and Mani stones beneath sweeping North Face of Manaslu.
The trek takes you to one of the most dramatic Himalayan high altitudes pass called Larke La from where you are rewarded with a stunning panorama looking towards Himlung Himal (7126m), Manaslu & the Annapurna peaks, with the peaks of Ganesh Himal (7406m) to the east. Much of this trek is in a region of strong Tibetan influence. The inhabitants of upper Buri Gandaki region are Nupri, who are direct descendants of Tibetan immigration. Buddhist prayer flags and chortes are abundant in the region.
