Kanchenjunga Expedition
kanchenjunga expeditionKangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world lies on the border of Nepal & Sikkim. It was believed to be the highest mountain in the world from 1838 until 1849. It is the most easterly of the great 8,000 meter peaks of the Himalaya with an enormous mountain mass, and many peaks rise from its narrow icy ridges. The peak was first attemted in 1905 but was succeded only in 1955 by a British team. The name Kanchanjunga refers Five Treasuries of Great Snow which means five high peaks that rise from the surrounding glaciers. Avalanches are common in these peaks.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and hotel transfer

Day 04: Drive to Ilam

Day 05: Drive to Gopetar

Day 06: Trek to Panchami

Day 07: Trek to Dovan

Day 08: Trek to Khewang

Day 09: Trek to Yamphudin

Day 10: Trek to Chitre

Day 11: Trek to Torontan

Day 12: Trek to Tseram

Day 13: Trek to Ramze

Day 14: Trek to Glacier Camp

Day 15: Trek to Base camp

Day 16 - 51: Climbing

Day 52 -Cleaning of base camp

Day 53: Retrace to Gopetar / Suketar and fly to Biratnagar - Kathmandu

Day 54 -Drive back to Kathmandu

Day 55: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 56: Airport transfer for international flight.

The Cost Includes:
  1. Equipment allowance, daily allowance & insurance for base camp staff (Sirdar, cook, kitchen boy and liaison officer)
  2. Flight fare from Suketar - Biratnagar - Kathmandu
  3. Food and fuel at the base camp
  4. All camping equipment at the base camp such as, member tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, chairs, tables.
  5. Trek support for climbing members from Gopetar - base camp - Kathmandu.
