Everest Base Camp Trekking
The Everest base camp trek that combines the thrills and the challenge for adventure enthusiasts follows the path of the medieval trans-Himalayan trade route and passes through the some of the most magnificent mountain scenery on earth. Justifiably this Everest base camp and Kalapathar trekking is one of the most popular treks in Nepal, famous, not only for its proximity to Mount Everest and the high profiles of the mountains in the region but also for the home of legendary Sherpa people, picturesque villages, diverse ethno-cultures, colourful festivals and monasteries. The cultural setting of Khumbu has intimate connection with Tibetan Nyingma Pa Buddhism. Beautiful monasteries scattered all around the area justify that it was a home for famous Buddhist saints in the past.

The trek starts with the flight to Lukla, the gate way to Everest region. The trail follows Dudhkosi Valley to Namche, a colorful Sherpa town well known as one of the trading places in High Himalayas as far as up to Tibet. The view of Mount Everest from Tengboche Monastery is fascinating. Higher up the Khumbu Valley, the trail heads to Kalapatthar ( 5445m. ), the best vantage point on earth for the stunning views of 360-degree Himalayas panorama including the world's highest peak Mount Everest. The trek on which we spend most of our time under the shadow of the Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamaserku peaks in our journey to Everest base camp and Kalapathar has been selected among the world's top 20 classic Journeys of Lifetime by the Observer, UK.
